Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2, 2026. These terms govern your use of Deewar. By using the app you agree to the rules below. Please read them carefully.

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”) and Deewar (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), concerning your access to and use of the Deewar mobile application, website, and any other media form or channel related, linked, or otherwise connected thereto (collectively, the “App”). Deewar is a free, video-first marketplace that lets users record short clips of items for sale and reach nearby buyers.

By accessing the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all of these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the App. The App is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to use or register for the App.

2. How Deewar works (listings & review)

Deewar operates as a video-first classifieds marketplace. To keep the marketplace trustworthy, the following conditions apply:

• Video-first. Listings are centered on short video clips so buyers can see exactly what is being sold.
• Pre-live review. Every listing is reviewed by our team before it goes live. We may decline, remove, or request changes to any listing that violates the law, infringes rights, or breaks our community rules.
• Always free. Browsing, posting, and selling on Deewar are free. There are no fees, subscriptions, or hidden costs.
• No transaction facilitation. Deewar is only a venue that connects buyers and sellers. We are not a party to any transaction, do not process payments, and do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of advertised items.

3. User representations

By using the App, you represent and warrant that:

• All registration and profile information you submit is true, accurate, current, and complete.
• You will keep that information accurate and up to date.
• You have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms of Service.
• You will not access the App through automated or non-human means (bots, scripts, or otherwise).
• You will not use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
• Your use of the App will not violate any applicable law or regulation.

4. Prohibited activities

You may not access or use the App for any purpose other than what we make it available for. As a user of the App, you agree not to:

• Post listings for illegal, dangerous, or counterfeit items.
• Post misleading descriptions or videos that misrepresent the item.
• Publish personal data or contact information of others without their consent.
• Trick, defraud, or mislead us or other users, especially to obtain sensitive account information.
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the App.
• Engage in unauthorized framing of, or linking to, the App.
• Use any data mining, robots, scraping, or similar data gathering tools.
• Sell or transfer your profile to anyone else.
• Spam the marketplace with duplicate or near-duplicate listings.

5. User-generated contributions (listings & messages)

The App lets you create listings, record videos, post text, and send emails (collectively, “Contributions”). When you create or share any Contributions, you represent and warrant that:

• Your Contributions do not infringe any third party’s copyright, trademark, trade secret, or privacy rights.
• Your Contributions are not false, inaccurate, or misleading.
• Your Contributions are not obscene, violent, harassing, libelous, or otherwise objectionable.
• Your Contributions comply with all laws protecting the health and well-being of minors.

If you encounter a listing or message that breaks these rules, please use the in-app reporting feature. We act on reports as quickly as we can to keep the marketplace safe.

6. Contribution license

By posting Contributions (including video listings) to the App, you grant us an unrestricted, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, transferable, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, use, reproduce, publish, display, reformat, translate, and distribute those Contributions for the purpose of operating and promoting the Deewar marketplace.

We do not claim ownership of your Contributions. You retain full ownership and any intellectual property rights associated with them. We may, in our sole discretion, pre-screen, refuse, or delete any Contributions at any time and for any reason, without notice.

7. Intellectual property rights

Unless otherwise indicated, the App is our proprietary property. All source code, databases, functionality, software, designs, audio, video, text, photographs, and graphics on the App (excluding user-generated Contributions), together with the trademarks, service marks, and logos contained therein, are owned or controlled by us or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark laws.

8. Mobile application license

If you access Deewar via a mobile application, we grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited right to install and use the mobile application on devices you own or control, and to use it strictly in accordance with these Terms of Service.

9. App management & termination

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to:

• Monitor the App for violations of these Terms of Service.
• Take appropriate legal action against anyone who, in our sole discretion, violates the law or these Terms.
• Refuse, restrict access to, limit the availability of, or disable any of your Contributions.
• Terminate your use of the App or delete your account, without warning, in our sole discretion, if we believe you have breached these Terms.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. You agree that your use of the App is at your sole risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, in connection with the App and your use of it.

Deewar does not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for any product or service advertised or offered by a third party (including other users) through the App. We are not a party to and are not responsible for monitoring any transaction between you and other users. Use your best judgment and exercise caution.

11. Limitation of liability

In no event will we, or our directors, employees, or agents, be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from and against any loss, damage, liability, claim, or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees and expenses, made by any third party due to or arising out of: (1) your Contributions; (2) your use of the App; (3) your interactions or transactions with other users; or (4) your breach of these Terms of Service.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The current version is always available on this page and inside the App. By continuing to use Deewar after changes take effect, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

14. Reporting

If you see a listing or message that breaks the rules, report it from inside the app. We act on reports as quickly as we can.
